Summary: In the current crisis of capital that expresses deepening of the dismantling of social policies and intensification, overexploitation and precariousness of work, it is indispensable to advance in the studies on the work of social workers, reflecting the possibilities and alternatives for formulating proposals of actions that To defend social rights. Social work as a profession is embedded in the social and technical division of labor, and this professional, as a salaried worker, suffers the refractions and precariousness of this process. This study is based on the hypothesis that the process of productive restructuring is reaching the social worker's field of work, both in its change or redefinition, as social security and specifically Social Assistance policy has been impacted by this process. The main objective of the research is to analyze the working conditions and relations in the daily social work of the social worker, inserted in the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS), in the municipality of Teófilo Otoni MG in the year 2016. Through a broad data analysis And information collected in bibliographical research, documentaries and interviews with the social workers inserted in this policy in the mentioned municipality, it was sought to analyze specifically how the contemporary working conditions have focused on the professional project of the social worker and its professional practice, identifying the Tensions between professional design and the alienation of salaried work. The guiding thread of all our research has turned to two elements: the first one WHERE we seek to characterize the objective conditions (contract documents, salaries, work environment, working time among others), social worker inserted in the policy of Social Assistance in the municipality of Teófilo Otoni, as a salaried worker, analyzing the reflexes of these conditionalities in the work routine. The second element, intrinsically articulated to the first, seeks to analyze the subjective conditions of the social worker's work (as a social being that is endowed with humanity reflected in emotions, identity, psychological aspects), from the view of these subjects regarding their work conditions. It is evident that analyzing the working conditions of the social worker is to understand that he works daily with the expressions of the social question coming from the capitalist society that dehumanizes the man himself by the conditions of social barbarism that impinges upon him. Thus, this professional not only works with the expressions of the social question, but also suffers them as a segment of the working class. Thus, it can be concluded that the social work professionals suffer from the precariousness of work, being overexploited and having their lives affected by such conditions.
