Summary: This paper discusses the relationship between consumer credit and the dynamics of the reproduction of capital in the contemporary Brazilian economy, especially during the years of the Workers Party's government. Presents the research effort of "financial expropriation arising in consumer credit" in the contemporary Brazilian capitalism, understood as one of the elements of financialization, this being one of the traits of neoliberalism as a pattern of capital accumulation in imperialist landmarks, the highest stage of capitalism.
