Summary: This work wants to demonstrate contribution of the Marxist theory of dependency to analyze the Brazilian social policy in nowadays. Therefore, the world's dynamic is directly associated with the answer that capitalism built on his major last structural crisis, who began in the late 60 and early 70 of last century: the articulated elements of neoliberal practices of the economy, which started to characterize the new development strategies of the capitalist. But the most important thing of the Marxist theory of dependency studies, is that the neoliberal strategy of development of contemporary capitalism, it started to increase Brazil's dependence, because of that the historical increase of dependence and the need to reverse the problems of recovery in developed central economies because of the crisis. This study also shows by building on the analysis of current social policy in Brazil based on the Marxist theory of dependency, who (the analysis of social policy) also proves the increase of existing dependent relationships in contemporary Brazilian economic development model.
