The Postgraduate Program in Social Policy fosters research development related to emerging social challenges and offers high quality training for higher education teachers.
The Postgraduate Program in Social Policy is jointly offered by three departments of the Federal University of Espírito Santo, namely, Social Work, Economics and Social Sciences. The master’s and doctoral degrees in social policy were established in 2004 and 2012, respectively. By performing cutting-edge social policy research, the program has achieved high scoring results in the assessment of the Brazilian official accreditation agency for postgraduate programs. Since its creation, the program has awarded 138 master’s degrees, including foreign candidates and 15 doctoral degrees.

The program is based in Vitória-ES, offering the course of MA in Social Policy since 2004 e the course of PhD in Social Policy since 2012 and has an academic qualification profile certified by CAPES, receiving 5 on its last evaluation.

The program already has 177 masters and 31 doctors and counts with 82 students regularly enrolled, being 42 in the masters and 40 in the doctorate.
