Summary: The main changes in the world of work over the last decades are consequences of the transformations in capitalism and the constitution of a new pattern of capital accumulation through productive restructuring, which involved technological innovations, organizational changes and management of the workforce. In this sense, the outsourcing has become a worldwide strategy widely used in most sectors of economic activities, and particularly in civil construction. Thus, this research aims to analyze the labor relations and working conditions materialized in the outsourcing process of the labor force in the civil construction sector in Grande Vitória/ES, aiming to identify forms of precariousness in contractual, salary, working hours, work conditions, and level of staff turnover among outsourced workers in this economic segment. In this context, the outsourcing is particularly relevant because it shows one of the ways that best demonstrates the world of precarious work with all its inherent implications, especially the weakening of workers' rights. It was chosen the construction segment to perform this study because it is a sector strongly marked by outsourcing their workforce. It was performed the empirical research with structured questionnaires and documentary research through the study of reports of the government agencies and the Jornal do Operário da Construção. The results indicate that the outsourced workforce in the civil construction of buildings experiences the precariousness in their labor relations and working conditions through precarious salaries, long working hours, health problems due to poor working environment conditions and high rates of accidents at work.
