Summary: Contemporary school have been the subject of numerous research studies due to the transformations they have undergone. In Brazil, the educational system has undergone successive reforms, following the transformations in production and labor relations of recent decades. These changes culminated in improvements to the National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC) and the New High School (NEM). Ideology, although a set of norms that conceal relations of domination in a society divided into social classes, has also changed. This ideological transformation was driven by the corporation, as the dominant social form.
Ideology, as the legitimizing force of social reproduction, has adapted to new social relations, expressing itself in curricula, teacher training and work, management, financing, and other aspects of education. Through bibliographic and documentary research, this work investigates the contemporary expressions of ideology disseminated by the business sector in school
education, analyzed from the perspective of the two aforementioned reforms. We argue that the role of ideology in the contemporary school is to legitimize the business logic underlying the reforms, as well as to guarantee the objective and subjective conditions for the training and development of future workers in the face of profound changes in production and labor relations in Brazil.
